Some versions of this dress are a rayon/spandex mix, others are straight polyester. The black dress with large white flowers is polyester, and it isn't a breathable or very stretchy fabric. I still like the pattern and wear it, but I wear it when my rayon/spandex versions are dirty.(I also bought the Royal Blue ?, that blend is rayon/spandex and is super comfy. I wear everywhere.)I am 5'9", 40D, and an athletically chubby 198-230lbs. (I wore these dresses while I was pregnant.)The XL fit just right, not too tight or too loose and to the floor.
